Over the coming weeks and months, as we enter Phase Three of the Provincial ReStartPlan and restrictions on travel begin to ease, Hope, Cascades & Canyons is working hard to find the balance between welcoming visitors back to the area and keeping our residents safe.

We want this summer to be enjoyable for everyone, we want to see the health guidelines that have been put in place by the province respected by visitors and residents as well as physical distancing while in our shops, on our trails and our Downtown streets.

We are currently working on reopening our Hope, Cascades & Canyons Visitors Centre at 919 Water Ave which will now offer drive up – curb side services. Please take a moment to come say Hi and allow us to share the available resources that are in place for our visitors and how we can assist in making your time with us as enjoyable as possible while making sure that our residents feel confident that our guidelines are being respected by all who come to t he area.

We know that you want to help keep our community safe so that we can continue to lift restrictions and welcome you back again and we want you to know that we are doing everything that we can to keep you safe as well as our residents.

Here is what we are doing to protect visitors in the Hope, Cascades & Canyons Tourism Region:

All accommodators, restaurants, shops, and stores are implementing provincially approved guidelines for cleaning and physical distancing to keep staff and patrons safe.
All activity providers have created additional safety measures as well as implemented provincially approved guidelines for cleaning and physical distancing to keep staff and visitors safe.
Due to limited space and modified group sizes, please call ahead to activity providers to see if there are additional items you are required to bring in advance of your trip.
We have created a COVID 19 Business and Activity Directory so that you can preplan your trip and educate yourself on how Hope, BC businesses are currently operating during the pandemic as well as what is available. Here is what we are asking you to do to protect our residents while visiting the Hope, Cascades & Canyons tourism region:

If you or anyone in your travelling group has been sick in the previous week or have flu like symptoms, PLEASE RESCHEDULE your trip.
We will be allowing ONE person from each group, at a time into the Visitor Centre’s newly created protective barrier should you need additional information above and beyond our drive up – curb side visitor services or if you would like to purchase any of our Hope, Cascades & Canyons merchandise. Masks must be worn when entering the Visitor Centre. No exceptions will be given. If you do not have a mask, no problem! Our on-site Visitor Centre Information Councillor will be more than happy to retrieve the necessary items on your behalf. We will be open 10am-4pm, 7 days a week.

Make sure to book your activities in advance at https://hopebc.ca/ whenever possible.
We do ask that you complete all of your necessary grocery shopping prior to leaving your community. IF it is necessary to shop once you have arrived in Hope, please consider the pre-order/pick up/curbside/delivery services that our stores do provide. If this is a service that you were not aware was available prior to arriving in town and you do find yourself shopping in our local stores please do Only send ONE person inside from your party to purchase the necessary items. If you find that our stores do have supplies that perhaps your community is running short on, do respect the purchase limits so that our residents can continue to maintain the best quality of life possible throughout the pandemic and remember that we also have limited access as well once those supplies are gone.
Bring your own personal protective equipment if you can (i.e. hand sanitizer and mask)
Make a reservation at one of our restaurants, or order takeout and have it delivered
PLEASE help keep our first responders safe by exploring to your skill level and please do your research before entering our beautiful outdoor recreational areas. While visiting our parks, lakes, trails and so on please respect the 2m physical distancing recommendations.
Please keep your dog on a leash throughout town and on our trails. Should your traveling companion need to stretch their legs, we do have an Off-Leash Dog Park located at 1055 6^th Ave (next to the curling rink).
