CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING & SNOWSHOEING

Discover the magic of winter in the Hope, Cascades, and Canyons region. With pristine snow-covered landscapes and breathtaking mountain views, this area is a paradise for both snowshoeing and cross-country skiing enthusiasts.

Snowshoeing

Strap on your snowshoes and revel in the tranquil beauty of the snow-draped forests at the Coquihalla Summit Recreation Area or Manning Provincial Park. Nestled against the picturesque Cascade Mountains, Manning offers an array of trails to suit every snowshoer, from gentle jaunts to strenuous treks that reward you with breathtaking vistas. If you’re without snowshoes, there’s no need to fret—rentals are readily available at the resort. For an immersive experience, consider joining a guided snowshoe tour, where you can enjoy delights such as s’mores and a warm fondue amidst your snowy adventure. Venture beyond the resort confines to the accessible trails around Lightning Lake or tackle the more demanding routes like Fat Dog Trail. The snowshoeing adventures at Manning Park are an idyllic way to celebrate the winter wonderland.

Cross-Country Skiing

Glide through tranquil forests, explore scenic trails, and enjoy the peace and quiet of the winter wilderness. Beginners are welcome at Manning Park Resort, where you can find lessons and packages, rentals, and tours. The resort is home to over 60km of groomed Nordic trails and two warming huts where you can stop and rest your legs. If you’ve got a furry friend, be sure to bring them along Beaver Pond Trail – it’s dog friendly! Lace up your boots, grab your poles, and experience the magic of cross country skiing!
