Media, Influencers, and Productions
Hope has been a premier filming destination for decades and earned its fame in 1981 when Rambo: First Blood was filmed in and around the community. Thousands of tourists flock to the community each year to reminiscence in scenes that took place downtown and at the Othello tunnels. Hope continues to be an important part of Hollywood North for many movies; War for the Planet of the Apes, The Cabin in the Woods, One Week, Fifty Shades Freed, Far from Home: The Adventures of Yellow Dog, Deadly Pursuit, Big Sky, Fire with Fire, The National Dream: Building the Impossible Railway, Antlers, and Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Hope is featured in reality shows such as Highway Thru Hell.
And the Hallmark Channel loves filming in Hope for the quaint look of the town. Many times Hope has been transformed into small town America under a blanket of snow…in the middle of summer.
Hope is less than two hours from Metro Vancouver and has a streamlined permitting process to ensure filming with ease. The community offers awe-inspiring views of mountains, cascades, canyons, rock faces, tunnels, and much more.
