UPDATE June 15th 2020 : The Rhododendron Flats in Manning Provincial Park are now in FULL BLOOM and will continue for approximately 1 more week!

Rhododendron Flats in Manning Park is like a flower festival of its own. The thick moss growing on the forest bed brings this beautiful plant the perfect moist-soil conditions for a impressive bloom every June. The Pacific Rhododendron found at Rhododendron Flats and in the nearby Skagit Valley Provincial Park are an isolated population at the northern extent of their range. The nearest populations occur south of Mount Rainier and on the Olympic Peninsula. Two small isolated populations are also found on Vancouver Island near Nanaimo and Shawnigan Lake.
