Nestled along the banks of the mighty Fraser River, with towering mountains enveloping its borders, the District of Hope stands as a beacon of history, culture, and natural beauty. Positioned at the crossroads of the Trans-Canada Highway, the Coquihalla Highway, and the trans-provincial Highway No. 3, Hope serves as the gateway to the interior, beckoning travelers to embark on a journey of exploration and discovery.

Step back in time and uncover the rich history of Hope, Cascades & Canyons, where the legacy of the First Nations settlement period echoes through the ages. Dating back 8,000 to 10,000 years ago, the Sto:lo First Nations thrived in this breathtaking region of the Fraser Valley.

At the heart of it all was the vibrant community of Ts’qo:ls, nestled in the very spot where the District of Hope stands today. This bustling hub was more than just a gathering place—it was a lifeline, connecting thousands of people and serving as a vital nexus for trade between neighboring communities.

As you explore the wonders of this historic land, you’ll find echoes of the past intertwined with the vibrant culture and natural beauty that define Hope, Cascades & Canyons.
