Covid-19 Update from Hope, Cascades & Canyons

At this time, we are asking non-residents to refrain from visiting our community. With the recent closure of most of our businesses, public facilities, parks and recreation areas, we are reserving those businesses that remain open, for the sole use of our residents. (Residents include; the Sunshine Valley, Boston Bar and Yale. FVRD Electoral areas A & B.) We are respectfully requesting that non-residents refrain from using our essential services such as grocery stores and pharmacies etc. This is so that we can ensure local residents have access to the supplies and resources they need during this time to maintain the highest possible quality of life.

It is imperative for all Canadians to practice social distancing at this time so that our communities can stay safe, and be ready to welcome you back as soon as possible.

Areas that are now CLOSED to the public are:
・Hope Visitor Centre
・Coquihalla Canyon Provincial Park
・Kawkawa Lake Park
・Memorial Park
・All municipal playgrounds as well as school district playgrounds
・Public Washrooms
・All restaurant dining areas
・Hope & Area Recreation Centre

We ask that the following areas be reserved for residents:
・The Rotary Trail
・Hope Mountain Trail
・Hope bike and skate park
・Essential & non-essential businesses

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Hope Visitor Centre by e-mailing vc@hopebc.ca.

More information about public spaces can be found through:
