FRASER CANYON TOURS April 15 – October 15
Offering exclusive scenic tours in the historic Fraser Canyon – the GOLD RUSH capital of British Columbia. This unique stretch of river, between Hope and Yale BC, is where “Time Stands Still” and is like turning the clock back 150 years. Carved out by glaciers 10,000 years ago, these are areas still mined by hand for its riches in gold. It is an area forged deep in culture, tradition and history with both Indigenous and Non-Indigenous reflections. This is where you come to stay, play and explore.
In 1858, the Fraser River Gold Rush drew people from across the globe, all chasing dreams of fortune. Today, the new gold is not mined, it is experienced. It is the heart pounding thrill of hooking, fighting, and safely releasing a white sturgeon, a moment that forever changes how you see fishing. The white sturgeon is a living relic of the Triassic era, an actual dinosaur of the deep that has survived 200 to 300 million years. You will likely see sturgeon angling guides on your tour.
Long before modern anglers arrived, Indigenous peoples thrived along these waters. The famous wind dried sockeye salmon unique to this canyon’s hot, dry winds, was once so valuable it served as a form of currency traded far and wide for other goods. Join this remarkable adventure zone, where ancient waters, wild fish, and living history collide… Welcome to Triassic Park
