    To participate, email events@hopebc.ca with your home address and one or more photos of your outdoor Christmas lights display by December 15th, 2024.  This contest is open to residents with external Christmas light decorations only. Indoor decorations will not qualify.

    By submitting your photo(s), you hereby grant permission for their use by Hope Cascades & Canyons, Advantage Hope, and the Hope Standard. This consent includes but is not limited to publication on websites, social media platforms, and in print media, including the Hope Standard newspaper. Additionally, you agree that your name and address may be shared as required for publication purposes.

    Submission Requirements: Participants must provide:

    • One clear photo of the external Christmas lights display.
    • The full address of the decorated home
    • By entering, participants consent to their submitted photo and address (limited to street and house number) being shared for the purposes of contest promotion, judging, and winner announcement.

  • Prize

    Prize:

    • First place is a $300in gift cards redeemable at select local businesses.
    • Second place $150 in gift cards redeemable at select local businesses.
    • Third place $50 in gift cards redeemable at select local businesses.

  • Contest judging

    A board of judges will evaluate all qualifying entries based on creativity, festive appeal, and overall impact. The decision of the judges is final.
