Nicolum River Provincial Park
Nicolum River Provincial Park is located 8km east of Hope along Highway 3 (near the junction of Highways 3 & 5). This park has a small, fast flowing river and densely covered forest. It is a nice rest stop for travelers driving from the coast to the interior. There are many significant wildlife in the park. It is particularly known for its songbirds and fish. Some of the songbirds you will spot are varied thrush, black-throated grey warbler and red-breasted nuthatch. The river is ideal for catching Dolly Varden. The section of Highway 3 at Nicolum River Provincial Park was once a part of the historic HBC Trail.
