Hope Memorial Park

Just head downtown Hope on Wallace Street, to find a fantastic playground for kids. The play gym is in excellent condition and is a safe structure for kids to play on. It rests on a gravel base to help cushion falls. The playground also has a set of swings including ones for toddlers. The park is shaded by giant evergreens and there is a large, green, grassy field for wide games. Other features include an amphitheatre, basketball courts, tennis courts and restrooms. Next to the playground is the Japanese Friendship Garden to tribute the 2300 Japanese Canadians who were interned at the Tashme Camp during World War II. Tashme was located 20km east of Hope on Highway #3. The park is central to motels, restaurants and shopping. Park Hours: Dawn to Dusk
