Hope

Hope is the centre of Hope, Cascades & Canyons and an easy place to start exploring the region. Located where several major highways meet, Hope makes a convenient base for day trips into the mountains, Fraser Canyon and surrounding communities.

Hope is the heart of the region, with local shops, cafés, restaurants, famous chainsaw carvings, outdoor trails and easy access to the mountains, rivers and lakes. It is also a great base for exploring nearby communities and attractions.

Start downtown, where you will find locally owned shops, cafés and restaurants alongside Hope's famous chainsaw carvings. Take a walk through town and see how many of the carvings you can find.

Outdoor adventures are close by. Hike through forests and mountain landscapes, go fishing, spend time on the water or explore the trails around town. In summer, Kawkawa Lake, Silver Lake, and Lake of the Woods make it possible to get out on the water; surrounding rivers offer rafting and other outdoor experiences.

Families have plenty to choose from too, including the Hope & District Recreation Centre, the Hope Bike Park and nearby adventure attractions. In the warmer months, Hope Memorial Park is a gathering place for markets, community events, music and family activities.

Hope also has a strong connection to film history. Fans of Rambo: First Blood can spot locations around town that were used during filming.
