This is a very popular trail in Hope. It is a fairly moderate hike up the front of Hope Mountain and leads to a lookout over the town of Hope including Kawkawa Lake and the Coquihalla and Fraser Rivers. Hike to the top using the Gorilla climbing trail. Then rip down the mountain all the way to Kawkwa Lake. Trail is fairly new with jump and drops and some steep and technical areas. At a point branch off and try and newly added Macho Mango. Two different routes on one great mountain. Very scenic and green throughout the hole trail. Know your limits as a rider and if unclear on the feature ahead. Check it before you wreck it. Bike Rentals: Free delivery is offered throughout the Hope area, or if you prefer, you can pick up. Hope Bike &amp; Kayak Rentals is on the doorstep of incredible trails that connect you to a scenic ride into Hope’s downtown through both Thacker Marsh and the Hope Bike Park. Kayaks &amp; Paddle Boards: Free delivery is available to Kawkawa Lake and Schkam Lake (Lake of the Woods). With rentals of a half-day or more, free delivery is also available to Silver Lake. Customers can also reserve gear to pick up and take to other lakes. Special pricing for long term rentals. Open 9am – 9pm or by appointment year-round!

Chittenden Meadow Self-Guiding Interpretive Trail: Chittenden suspension bridge provides easy foot access to this beautiful meadow with its wild flowers, prairie grasses and ponderosa pine. This is a 1 hour leisurely walk around this meadow.

Our riding area is just off the Coquihalla Highway, Exit #228 (Britton Creek rest area) between Hope and Merritt B.C. (Show Map And Directions). We have great riding areas for Beginners to Expert riders. We groom over 90 Km of trails, giving easy access to different riding areas. Our main trails to Alpine are very short… Henning Alpine is 4Km from our Main Parking lot, 10-K Alpine is 5Km from our 10-K Parking lot. We even have groomed trails through the Alpine so beginners can also enjoy the Alpine. We have lots of areas with Simple Terrain so you can have a fun/safe day even during High avalanche conditions. We also have two cabins in the Alpine stocked with split firewood. All the wet West Coast weather dumps as snow on the Coq, so frequent Awesome snow days. There’s also accommodations right next to the riding area at the Coquihalla Lakes Lodge. We have our own parking lot, so lots of room for any size rig you might have and very easy access just off the Coquihalla Hwy (4×4 recommended). We also added a loading dock and a heated changing room in the parking lot area… how about that. Check out the Coquihalla Summit for an awesome sledding experience.

Visit the rhododendrons at Rhododendron Flats, on a 10-minute loop walk through the forest. Lush carpets of moss keep the soil damp during the spring and early summer allowing the moisture loving rhododendron to be at its best when it flowers in June. (starting now!)Rhododendron comes from the Greek word meaning ‘rose tree’ and indeed, the Pacific rhododendron could compete with even the showiest of the hybrid roses. Reaching a sprawling height of up to 8m, it surpasses many of its cultivated cousins.Of the 600 different rhododendron species worldwide, only 27 varieties occur in North America.Because of its rarity, the Pacific Rhododendron is protected by law in BC.Via E.C. There is a boat launch and 10Hp motor limit. Please note that there are no lifeguards, roped off swim area or docks.
