Alexandra Bridge Provincial Park is set along the historic route of the former Cariboo Wagon Road and highway. The current bridge which is now only open to foot traffic, was built in 1926 to replace the original bridge built in 1861 which later was destroyed during the flood of 1894.

“Alexandra Bridge What is eerie about visiting the old bridge is how it takes you across the river and you are met with the forest and the mountain slope. There is no road to anywhere.
