Lantern Festival at Lightning Lake

Experience one of Manning Park’s most cherished summer traditions, the enchanting Lantern Festival at Lightning Lake. As the sun sets and the warm glow of twilight settles over the water, join us for an unforgettable evening of creativity, community, and wonder.

Lantern-Making Workshop
Let your imagination shine! Craft your own beautiful lantern during our daytime workshop, guided by friendly instructors. Whether it’s your first lantern or your fifth, each one tells a unique story.

Lantern Launch at Dusk
As night falls and the stars begin to twinkle above, gather with us at Spruce Bay Beach to set your glowing creation afloat across the still waters of Lightning Lake. The soft lights from the lanterns drifting in harmony makes for a magical, memory-making experience for guests of all ages.
